STOVE & OVEN ISSUES

DOESN’T IGNITE

For an electric stove will not ignite, check if the stove power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light on gas stoves. If the oven power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, then a different part of the appliance will have to be repaired. The cause of the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER DOESN’T HEAT

A burner or stove that does not produce heat does not do much good. An oven won’t heat when there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner doesn’t ignite when an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We are able to repair these common problems in under 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM PROBLEMS

You can assume the control panel on an oven is broken if the timer or program functions don’t work. In this case, we are able to fix control panels for LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands and models of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and parts we use for this oven repair service.

OVEN IS VERY HOT

You always should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance repairmen can diagnose the cause of the issue and then repair it. But be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is when an igniter will glow but it does not light. The cause is from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We determine whether we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we will need to replace the parts.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens can experience door issues. The door does not open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to identify why the door does not open up and then complete the repair so we can resolve the problem.
